Our Story
Our story began with a simple chair and a big dream right here in Fort Smith. Over a decade ago, our founder, a lifelong resident of the River Valley, saw a need for a different kind of grooming experience. They envisioned a space where classic barbering tradition met modern salon artistry. This vision was not about creating just another shop but building a community hub. The initial goal was to provide impeccable service in a welcoming, no pretension environment. We wanted a place where everyone from Booneville to Van Buren felt comfortable walking through our doors. Our first small location on Rogers Avenue was where we laid our foundation. We built our reputation one precise haircut and one genuine conversation at a time.
Our growth has been a testament to the loyalty of our Fort Smith neighbors. After several years of building a strong clientele, we expanded to our current, larger location to better serve our community. This move allowed us to introduce new services, including specialized color techniques and luxurious skincare treatments. We have been honored to style generations of families, from a child's first haircut to a grandfather's weekly trim. Our team has grown from a solo practitioner to a family of highly skilled stylists and barbers. We take pride in having our work featured in local events like the Old Fort Days Rodeo and the Unexpected Festival. Achieving recognition as a top local business in the Times Record reader's poll was a humbling milestone. Each day, we consider our continued presence a significant achievement built on trust.

Marcie Comstock
Owner & Master Stylist
Marcie’s passion lies in the art of hair and the meaningful connections formed behind the chair. She believes every guest has a unique story and deserves a look that feels both authentic and complementary. With a deep love for her craft and her clients, Marcie delivers an experience rooted in personalization, education, and genuine care. As Salon Elements’ educator and mentor, Marcie is devoted to cultivating excellence through advanced education and hands-on mentorship. Many of the salon’s stylists have trained directly under her guidance, creating a collaborative, elevated environment that enhances every guest experience. Each visit begins with a thoughtful consultation—clients are encouraged to bring inspiration as Marcie and her team identify hair goals, address challenges, and create long-term solutions, including guidance for at-home maintenance. Marcie specializes in men’s and women’s hair replacement, creative color, and blonding, and is Italian-style cutting certified. Her advanced certifications also include Japanese straightening, keratin smoothing treatments, GreatLengths keratin bond extensions, and Mane Vibe Beaded Row Extensions and Custom European Wig collection, where she also serves as a certified educator. Due to high demand, Marcie books by request. Guests may join her cancellation list or be seamlessly paired with one of the talented stylists she has personally trained—ensuring every client receives exceptional artistry and care.
Angela
Salon Coordinator | Luxury Hair & Wig Specialist
Angela brings over 25 years of retail and wholesale experience in the beauty industry and obtained her cosmetology degree in 2012. She now specializes in luxury human hair, custom European wigs, offering an elevated level of expertise rooted in quality, craftsmanship, and precise fit. Her thoughtful approach ensures every client receives a truly personalized, high-touch experience. As Salon Coordinator, Angela’s dynamic energy and meticulous attention to detail elevate every aspect of Salon Elements. She plays an essential role in creating a seamless, polished guest journey while supporting both the team and clientele at the highest level. Angela’s expertise, professionalism, and passion for excellence make her an invaluable part of the Salon Elements experience—bringing thoughtful detail, warmth, and next-level service to everything she does.
Brodie
Stylist
Brodie has been styling hair since she could hold a brush—no doll or friend was ever safe! With 13 years in the industry and 10 years at Salon Elements, she trained under master stylist Marcie Comstock and loves bringing hair dreams to life. Specializing in curly hair, offering Japanese Straighteners and Certified in tape in and handtied extensions, keratin treatments, Moroccan Oil blowouts, and lash extensions, Brodie is your go-to for effortless glam and confidence-boosting transformations
Cortney
Stylist
Surrounded by the beauty industry from an early age, Cortney’s Cortney’s love and passion for hair started early! naturally evolving into a refined career spanning 11 years, including 8 years at Salon Elements. She is known for her thoughtful approach, blending technical precision with artistic vision to create effortlessly polished results. Cortney is trained in Moroccan Oil Blowouts, Keratin Treatments, and Hand-Tied Beaded Row Extensions, and specializes in balayage and custom vivid color, delivering looks that are edgy, dimensional, and uniquely tailored to each guest. Cortney loves turning hair into art.
Sarah
Master Stylist
With over 20 years of experience, Sarah Couch is a master stylist known for her elevated approach to precision cutting and custom color across all hair types. Artistic by nature, she blends technical expertise with an eye for refined beauty, creating looks that feel effortless yet intentional. Sarah has extensive advanced education in hair extensions and ladies’ hair replacement additions and is Bumble & Bumble certified in curly hair cutting and professional blowouts. She is also trained in Moroccan Oil Blowouts, Keratin Treatments, and Brazilian Blowouts and Mane Vibe Beaded Row Extensions, with a signature focus on balayage and creative, bespoke color. Her philosophy is rooted in personalization—taking each client’s vision and translating it into a polished, confidence-enhancing result. Sarah’s goal is for every guest to leave her chair feeling refined, empowered, and undeniably beautiful.
Gayla
Wig Specialist
Affectionately known as “Miss Gayla,” Gayla has been a cherished member of Salon Elements since 1999 and is the mother of owner and Master Stylist Marcie Comstock. With decades of experience, she serves as the salon’s trusted Wig Specialist, offering thoughtful expertise in custom wig customization, precise sizing and fittings, special-order wigs, as well as professional reconditioning and styling. Gayla provides a truly personal experience, working by appointment only in two private consultation rooms designed to ensure comfort, discretion, and peace of mind. Her calm presence, attention to detail, and compassionate approach allow clients to feel supported, confident, and cared for throughout every step of the process. Outside of the salon, Gayla enjoys time with her husband exploring music venues, creating jewelry, reading, and participating in church activities.
Kennedy
Stylist
Kennedy brings the energy—and the skills. Every client in her chair becomes a repeat client (it’s kind of her thing). With 11 years behind the chair and 8 years at Salon Elements, she lives for confidence-boosting transformations. She’s all about razor cuts & “Hello” pixies, blonding, and bold vivid color, plus Hand-Tied Extensions, Moroccanoil Blowouts, and Keratin treatments. From edgy hair to wedding-day glam, Kennedy makes it happen. Kennedy believes great hair is about confidence, individuality, and intention. Her philosophy is centered on creating looks that feel effortless yet expressive—tailored to each client’s lifestyle, personality, and vision. Through precision cutting, custom color, and elevated techniques, her goal is for every guest to leave feeling empowered, confident, and unmistakably themselves

Hi Larissa, this is Marcy at Salon elements, I just saw where you had left a review about a negative experience at the salon. I believe it had to do with Lashes?… I wanted to personally see if I could inquire as to what happened and see if I could possibly remedy the situation or do something to make it better. I also noticed from your client history it didn’t appear that you had been to the salon in four years. So I was a little confused about the review that you just left. UPDATE: Marcie helped get my crown settled into my hair and it STAYED all night long. Even dancing with my sisters and moving everywhere, it stayed so well. Love this place!
